aPerfectPractice, founded by a CPA who overcame the barriers to entry of owning a tax and accounting practice.

Founder Scott Turner, CPA

Scott C. Turner started his professional career as a small business owner in Fremont, California. He quickly learned that a business owner must rely on trusted experts and advisors for accounting, tax, financial and related services.

After graduating with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Business from California State University, East Bay, Scott accepted an offer from Main LaFrentz (which subsequently merged into Peat Marwick), a part of KPMG, the largest accounting firm worldwide. He later joined a local accounting firm as a Certified Public Accountant, expecting to fully implement his vision to help owners advance their business.

Scott soon realized that the system used by his employers to provide client services would never be able to achieve what he had envisioned, and that the small business owner needed better advice and a more effective system to achieve his goals.

Soon thereafter he opened his own firm, and over the last three decades has mastered a unique system, using the latest in technology and creative methodology, to assist literally thousands of business owners through financial, business and tax consultations and services.

Scott feels strongly that the systems and processes used by accounting firms today have unintentionally placed limits on fully providing all the needed services the small business owner requires to be successful. Through aPerfectPractice, Scott meets the challenge of providing all the information, reporting, strategizing, and consulting services in an understandable and useable format, timely and effective, and in a cost effective manner.

Scott’s vast experience and expertise on behalf of his clients, and his keen insight into the needs of business owners, make him a key leader and partner in their success. His personal vision is to use that to assist other practitioners in their success as they assist business owners by fostering increase through enhanced services and additional benefits.
